Otelcilik alanında faaliyet gösteren Nota şirketi, SKWAT yaratıcı kolektifi ile ortaklaşa tasarladığı “Not a Museum” adlı ilk kültüzel alanını açacağını duyurdu.
Nota şirketi, binanın ilk katından dördünci kata kadar olan alanları dört yıl boyunca kullanacak — 2027 yazından 2031’e kadar. Yıkımın gecikmesi inşaat maliyetlerindeki artışa bağlanıyor.
Not a Museum, Nota’nın Not a City iştiraki ile Tokyo merkezli kültüzel kolektif SKWAT tarafından tasarlanacak. SKWAT, SKWAT Kameari Sanat Merkezi‘ni yönetiyor ve tasarım firması Daikei Mills kurucusu Keisuke Nakamura önderliğinde faaliyet gösteriyor.
Not a City ile SKWAT, alanın planlamasından yönetiminden dört yıllık kullanım süresince sorumlu olacak. İki kurum ortak açıklamasında şunları belirtti: “Gelecek için deney platformu olarak hizmet verecek; sanat, müzik, kitap, sinema, moda ve daha fazlası üzerinden güncel kültür bir araya gelecek, test edilecek ve evrilmeye devam edecek.”
Japa Valley Tokyo adlı başka bir girişim de Nota’nın arka planında yer alıyor. Bu ticari bölge 2027’de açılması planlanıyor ve iki bina yıkıldıktan sonra boşalan alanda Mitsubishi Estate ile ortaklaşa geliştirilen Yurakucho Park içinde kurulacak.
Bölgenin tasarımı geçen yıl Nota’ya yaratıcı danışman olarak katılan yapımcı ve moda tasarımcısına ait.
Tasarımcı Kwangho Lee sergileri ile mimarlar Herzog & de Meuron SKWAT tarafından daha önce organize edildi.
